Career History

Eng. Ahmed bin Abdul Rahman Al-Saleem is currently the Assistant Undersecretary for Urban Planning at the Ministry of Housing, in addition to being a member of the Coordination Committee for Real Estate Contributions at the Ministry of Commerce and Investment. He has previously served as a member of many of the official specialized committees and as a coordinator of the project of the Cultural Center in Hail to prepare designs for many housing plans and service areas throughout the Kingdom.



Eng. Al-Saleem is skilled and experienced in preparing all kinds of designs for residential plans and city centers, in addition to preparing a guide for technical specifications and a method for producing residential plans. With over 28 years of experience in urban planning, he has established himself as a leading expert in the domain. The industry veteran has a keen interest in strengthening his skills and knowledge in his specialization through attending international forums, conferences, and workshops. Notable events he participated include the History Conference and the Calendar of Historic Centers Project in Italy in 1989, and the Council of the Arab Ministry of Housing and Reconstruction, and the Conference of Youth in MENA in Rabat in 2007.




Eng. Al-Saleem holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from King Saud University and a Master’s degree in Urban Design from King Saud University. He is considered to be one of the prominent national experts in the field of urban design and architecture.
